poppies and lilacs

These are two flowers I've got to add to my yard.

Especially lilacs, like a 15 year old bush! (Annalese writes "lylox", it took some sounding out loud for me to realize what she was writing).

I spotted the poppies near a park after a picnic and the girls had their eyes trained for the lilacs since I've been plucking them lately. {Not out of any yards}. They are so great for my kitchen table!

Emmie loves that her and Oliver were 5 at the same time.

(5 months and 5 years)

So I had to take a picture while it lasted... since she thinks they will be 6 together also.

They won't, when Emmie turns 6 Ollie will be 8 months.

I know the math doesn't add up when you haven't even been to kindergarten yet.

At birth, he reminded me of her. So much. "To the T," as my mom would say. (I don't know what that means).

But, their round little faces, the button noses, blue blue eyes, the scarce fuzzy blond hair.. was all the same.

I thought his fuzzy hair that went curly when wet would turn into some unruly little boy hair. I still hope it will, come on hair!

(Then again, Emmie was bald for a year).
