...probally because he was just 1 1/2 when he got bumped from being the baby of the family.
Really Finn is doing great. Better than I ever expected of him, I think its because he is just such a good kid. For about 2 weeks Finn was getting used to Oliver. He hated while we were gone in the hospital. And when we brought Oliver home Finn was very rough. He climbed on top of Ollie when he was in his bouncy chair to give him a love. Many times. A kiss was a mere head butt. But after such a short time Finn has learned to be soft. He loves Ollie. I have no doubt. He is very sweet to him and concerned about him. He loves to put Ollie's binki in Ollie's mouth (a bit dangerous, that is not gentle). They both have binkies.
My favorite was the day Finn lifted up his shirt and gave Ollie a hug. I think he was trying to nurse him.
Finn is full of curiosity and mischief. He is a little too fond of the toilet. Last week when Ben was out of town he had both toilets plugged at the same time. We often retrieve lotions and elastics and whatever we can save from there (we let the toothpaste go though as well as many rolls of toilet paper). I've realized that the toilet is his source of water. I've caught him dipping in a washcloth to wash his face. Dipping in a comb to comb his hair. Pushing a stool around to get to higher ground is his other favorite way to solve curiosity. Often the stool is right next to Ollie's crib. Finn loves soccer. He loves ball, he will stop dead in his tracks to look at the TV when a game is on. He loves to watch Curious George. His favorite story is The Three Little Pigs. He will listen to it over and over and calls it the No No book. He loves to put his food in his cup when he's eating instead of eating it. He loves Jesus. He talks about him alot and always asks for "Jesus song," which is Away in a Manger. Although he is learning Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam and started singing it in Hobby Lobby the other day. Finn always answers "No." I don't think he understands Yes. He loves his sisters. All day long he asks me, "Where's Anna? Where's Hayee? Where's Emmie?" He hides all of the time. He will sit in the broom closet and shut the door and be quiet in the dark till we find him. My absolute favorite thing to do with Finn is chase him! All I have to do is give him the look and he is off and running. And when I catch him... the giggles. I love the giggles. And he is so tickly. That little boy is so fun. When he wants to be chased he grabs Ollie's binki, looks at me and heads off down the hall. Finn loves to be around boys. He's always loved Dad, he likes to play with his friends Barnes and Beeve (really it's Reeve). He talks about his boy cousins, Gummy and Paka and Bayden (Montgomery, Parker and Brayden). My little boy is not fond of button up shirts. But yes, I will wrestle him into one just to make him look so handsome. He does not like nursery... working on that. The best thing though is that he is so cuddly!!! Really cuddly. When he was a baby he would just mold to my body when I would hold him. And even though he is busy now, he lets me hold him alot. Busy, that is what we call it when the girls say he is getting into trouble. Finn is busy. I love that little boy who is asleep in his crib right now. Both of my little boys are asleep. I'm so glad for them that they have each other.
{In the pics Ollie was 2 weeks old, Finn was 19 months}.
